The basis of exhaust development is the "thorough pursuit of performance", and the founder himself created the authentic Kakimoto Kai exhaust system, the "HYPER 80", which has produced many legends and created the definition of large-diameter mufflers. In the spring of 2006, manufacturers that are members of JASMA were required by JASMA to manufacture and sell only JASMA-certified mufflers for use on public roads, and Kakimoto Kai Exhaust Systems began a major project to switch all of its series, except for those for competition-only models, to the safer and stricter JASMA-certified products.
The project's biggest challenge was to create a muffler that would not simply be "safe," but would also meet the stricter JASMA standards while still allowing users to enjoy the true essence of a Kakimoto-style exhaust system.The project was carried out under the concept of "a challenge to balance the JASMA standards with the tuning mufflers that Kakimoto-style wants to create."
It was a very difficult task, but without compromise, we repeatedly designed, developed and tested, and as a result, we succeeded in producing a JASMA certified product that was unique to Kakimoto Kai, and a new Kakimoto Kai exhaust system legend began.
