This is a sportier model that maintains the torque at low and mid-speed ranges that is unique to the GT box, while also paying attention to the high-speed range.
Its name is GT box 06&S - GT box Zero Six S.

The second version of the more reliable JASMA certified GT box, the GT box 06&S, has been born.
Of course, it's not just an exhaust system that's "safe."
Wouldn't an exhaust system like that be boring?
The theme here is not just to keep the volume within the JASMA standard, but to create a flavor that allows you to enjoy the true essence of a Kakimoto exhaust system.
It inherits the concept of the GTbox, a model exclusively for wagons and one boxes, and achieves torque and quick response at low and mid-speeds, while the sound meets the JASMA standards.
The sound quality that is unique to Kakimoto is still there.
To create a sportier feel, the response at high revolutions has been slightly emphasized, and weight has also been reduced.
In terms of style, it has a slimmer bullet-shaped, diagonally upward tilt and is equipped with Kakimoto Kai's unique titanium face tail, making it very impressive.
Both performance and style emphasize sportiness.
More sporty on the street! This is the perfect product for wagon and one-box users who are former street racers and who place importance on sporty driving.
The "GT box 06&S" can be simply described as a sporty "GT box."
So what does sportiness mean in the Wagon & One box?
Most of the uses of this category of users are street driving. If you are going to drive on a circuit, it is certainly best to prioritize high revolutions and have an exhaust that is designed to produce maximum power, but the bullet-shaped race-spec exhaust system inevitably reduces torque at low and mid-range speeds, which can be stressful when driving on the street.
The GTbox category proposed by Kakimoto Racing is based on the concept of enjoying a wagon and one box.
Generally, wagons and one-box cars are heavy and the majority of them are naturally aspirated automatic transmissions. To enjoy street driving, even if they have a sporty specification that does not ignore high revolutions, the key points are still torque at low and mid-speeds and quick response when stepping on the accelerator.
"Ensuring torque at low and mid-speeds and emphasizing response at higher speeds than the hyper GT box Rev." This was the development theme for the GTbox 06&S.
The main silencer is now slimmer to prioritize higher revolutions.
However, this makes it very difficult to control the volume. Silencing with an inner silencer is not possible this time. Using an inner silencer makes it easy to muffle the sound, and it also makes it easier to handle low and mid-speed ranges, but it has the disadvantage of creating too much exhaust pressure and not being able to fully utilize the inherent performance at high speeds. Also, in a muffler that is designed to be fitted with an inner silencer, if you remove the inner silencer, the volume becomes louder and it becomes difficult to handle low and mid-speed ranges. Therefore, by adopting a power reducer and internal combustion engine structure developed for sports cars (intermediate muffler for some models), it is possible to appropriately control the exhaust pressure, ensure high performance such as torque and quick response at low and mid-speed ranges, and effectively muffle the sound.
The shape and whether or not to include these features was decided after repeated testing on each vehicle model, taking into consideration the balance with the slimmer main muffler shape that is adopted to improve response at high revolutions compared to the hyper GT box Rev., and ensuring torque at low and mid-range speeds.
Although it is a small-volume bullet-shaped muffler, the volume is kept within the JASMA standard without sacrificing performance, making it possible to release a high-performance muffler that is ideal for sportier driving in wagons and one-box vehicles.
The change in sound when replacing an exhaust system is one of the important points to consider when choosing an exhaust system. The Kakimoto Kai sound is still alive and well this time.
The meticulous performance creates a beautiful sound. We have adopted the JASMA standard so you can use it with confidence even after 2006. (JASMA certified)
Please enjoy the unique setting that is only available from Kakimoto Kai, and use it for a long time!
When driving heavy wagons and one-box vehicles in sporty driving situations, weight reduction is of course something that cannot be ignored.
A lighter car not only improves driving performance, but also leads to improved fuel economy.
The GT box 06&S also focuses on lightweight design.
The stays are hollow, and the flanges and main pipes are made of thin, lightweight materials. The main muffler has been made slimmer to emphasize high rotation, which also contributes greatly to weight reduction. The muffler parts themselves, such as the side panels and end panels, are also thin, with the tail being ultra-thin at less than 1.0 mm. Furthermore, while using thin materials, sufficient consideration has been given to strength.
A thickness that strikes the perfect balance between lightness and durability has been selected, and to increase durability, for example, the ultra-thin tail is curled to increase durability and safety, and other parts have been designed in a way that is unique to Kakimoto Kai, resulting in a finish that is both light and durable.
One of the joys of replacing an exhaust system is the important factor that should not be forgotten: the looks.
The ultra-thin curl tail that shines with rainbow colors is treated with Kakimoto's original special coating process (Pat No. 4691707). It is very beautiful and impressive. Not only is it beautiful, it is also resistant to burns, and even if it does burn, it is less likely to dull and lose its beauty compared to conventional products.
This treatment is extremely effective because the tails of the GTbox 06 & S are made of thin material less than 1mm thick, which makes them more susceptible to dulling.
And above all, the slim bullet-shaped drum, ø115 in diameter and ø80 in the tailpipe, is not only lightweight and efficient, but also sporty and stylish.
The swing angle is a not-too-extreme diagonal upward swing that matches the rear view of the wagon & onebox.
High-quality stainless steel is used not only for the main pipe and main silencer, but also for the parts that cannot be seen, such as the stays and the inside of the silencer.
Durability has been taken into consideration.
The sharp, shining visuals are superb. Unlike steel, it is possible to restore the shine of new products by polishing them, even after years of use.
All surface welding is done with expensive Tig welding, which creates a beautiful scale pattern.
We paid particular attention to both style and quality.
