This time's GT box is "Rev."!
In redesigning the GTbox into the JASMA version (Revision), we carried out the most thorough development in order to bring about a revolution in exhaust tuning for wagons and one-box cars (Revolution).
The concept of the GTbox is "Enjoy your wagon and one-box car" - Enjoy, GT box!
"Revision = Rev." has been redesigned to be a safer JASMA-certified product so that you can enjoy your wagon or one box on public roads.
However, a muffler that is simply "safe" is boring.
The most important issue this time was not to design something that would just keep the volume within the JASMA standard, but to create a flavor that would allow users to enjoy the true essence of a Kakimoto exhaust system.
While the volume meets the JASMA standard, it also delivers the sound quality that is unique to Kakimoto Kai, as well as torque and quick response at low and mid-speeds that are important for wagons and one-box vehicles.
Furthermore, the styling, which is a major factor in customizing the Wagon and One Box, was also thoroughly considered. A "Custom Jacket" that allows customization of the titanium face tail is also available as an option.
We are also proud of the variety of ways you can enjoy it.
The evolved GTbox was born from the utmost care and is a masterpiece that is sure to become the standard of the future.

We focused on performance.

Wagons and one-box cars are generally heavy, and the majority of them are naturally aspirated automatic transmissions. They are primarily used for city driving. For this reason, the key points in creating a car that is fun and easy to handle for wagon and one-box owners are torque at low and mid-speeds and quick response when stepping on the accelerator.
The main silencer is a compact bullet-shaped design that is appropriate for the GTbox category. The GTbox does not use an inner silencer to control the volume like a typical bullet-shaped muffler, but instead uses a power reducer and internal combustion engine structure developed by Kakimoto Kai for sports cars, as well as an intermediate muffler, ensuring high performance and effective sound reduction.
When using an inner silencer to muffle sound, there is a drawback in that too much exhaust pressure is applied (it certainly does make it easier to handle at low and mid-speed), and the inherent performance at high speeds cannot be fully realized. Conversely, when the inner silencer is removed, the volume becomes louder, making it difficult to handle at low and mid-speed. Furthermore, in this setting, the power reducer and internal combustion engine structure, as well as the shape and presence or absence of the intermediate muffler, were not simply reused from the settings for sports cars, but were instead tested many times with each vehicle model in pursuit of performance for this category, where the concept of the car itself is different, and developed as a special model.
In this way, it has become possible to release a high-performance muffler that is a small-volume bullet-shaped muffler without an inner silencer, yet maintains a volume within the JASMA standard, without sacrificing performance, and instead achieves both torque and quick response in the low and mid-speed ranges.

We focused on style.

The hyper GT box Rev. is a stylish type that is full of playfulness and is conscious of aerodynamic tuning. The slim bullet-shaped drum is an original Kakimoto Kai size of 127φ (tail is 93φ). (*1)
The main silencer is designed to be straight so that it can be flexibly adapted to aftermarket aero parts (excluding some models).
Compared to the diagonal raised silencer, it is easier to avoid bumpers and is less likely to interfere with them.

In addition, the hyper GT box Rev. also has a wide range of optional parts, allowing you to customize the color and length of the tail.
The "Custom Jacket" is an excellent item that can be easily attached to the hyper GT box Rev. and allows you to enjoy the beautiful titanium face tail with its burnt titanium color. (*2)
This time, not only can you enjoy the titanium face tail, but we have also added a new inner curl type that creates an even more beautiful rear view.
The inner curl type curls the tail end inward, giving the sporty cut-off hyper GT box Rev. tail end thickness and further emphasizing the titanium face when viewed from directly behind, creating a sporty yet elegant look.
For customers who do not want a titanium face but would like a thicker tail end, we also offer a cheaper stainless steel type.

We recommend the "long tail adapter" for customers who have aftermarket aero parts installed.
When installing aftermarket aero parts, the tail often gets caught in the aero parts. This is unsightly and can cause bumper burns. By installing the "long tail adapter" that can extend the tail, you can adjust the tail to fit aftermarket bumpers that protrude more than the OEM parts, which can be used to improve the appearance and prevent bumper burns. (※2)
Of course, the "long tail adapter" also comes with a new inner curl type that creates an even more beautiful rear view.

What's a Titanium Face?

A special coating is applied to stainless steel to create a burnt color similar to titanium (patented (patent number: 4691707)). This is a Kakimoto original. It achieves a gloss that is superior to titanium!!

All stainless steel, fully TIG welded

High-grade stainless steel is used not only for the main pipe and drum, but also for invisible parts such as the stays and the inside of the drum, making it extremely durable.
The sharp, shining visuals are superb. Unlike steel, even after years of use, it is possible to recreate a new shine by polishing.
All surface welding is done with expensive Tig welding, which creates a beautiful scale pattern. We paid particular attention to not only style but also quality.
