By replacing the original bellows-shaped intake pipe with a stainless steel Kakimoto Kai intake pipe, smoother intake efficiency is achieved.
The Kakimoto intake pipe for the 86/BRZ is made of a 1.5mm thick stainless steel pipe, which is thinner than the aluminum pipes typically used for intake pipes.。
Furthermore, due to space limitations in the engine compartment, it was not possible to install a large chamber, but by expanding the middle section from 76.3φ to 100φ within the limited space, a chamber effect was achieved, resulting in smoother intake efficiency and improved throttle response.
